The House of Finland (Soumi Talo) – a cultural and business center

Reconstruction

The building was built in the Year 1847 and is located in the protection area of cultural heritage (Finnish evangelical church of  St Mary).

The building together with church has a historical and architectural value.

After reconstruction the Finnish school, library, Finnish Institute, St. Petersburg branch of Russian-Finnish Chamber of Commerce and some Finnish companies loacayed in the building (2009-2008)

In year 2019 the works on replanning and waterproofing of the building have been started.
